Tools
Every tool is read-only. None of them sends anything.
list_services- Every service with its one-line summary and link, optionally including bespoke HR software.
get_service- One service in full: introduction, what you can commission, deliverables, who it suits and its FAQ. A near miss is corrected: ask for “manager training” and you get Manager development.
search- Keyword search across services, software, process and answers.
get_answer- A sourced answer to a UK employment question, such as statutory sick pay or protected conversations: short answer, detail, key dates, the legislation quoted and official sources.
latest_news- The most recent HR news updates: what changed, who it applies to, what to do and the official source.
key_dates- Upcoming dates when employment law changes take effect, each linked to the answer that explains it.
tribunal_tracker- Monthly counts of UK employment tribunal decisions by claim category and country, from GOV.UK, plus the weekly Tribunal watch. Aggregate data only.
how_to_commission- Engagement types, the delivery route, the brief checklist and the assurance evidence to request.
prepare_brief- Turns a situation into a structured brief and a link a person can use to send it. Nothing is sent by the tool.

Questions
Short answers about the MCP server and the API.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no key and no paywall, for the MCP server and the JSON API.
Which AI tools does it work with?
Any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol over HTTP, including Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and Windsurf, and anything that can fetch JSON.
How current is it?
It is generated from the same source as these pages, every time the website is published, so the API and the site always say the same thing.
Can an agent send an enquiry for me?
No. Everything is read-only. The prepare_brief tool returns a structured brief and a link; a person reviews it and sends it from the contact page.
Is this advice?
No. It is information about HRjoy’s services and how they are commissioned. For advice on your organisation’s situation, start a brief.
Prefer to talk to a person?
Agents can prepare a brief. People send them. Tell us what’s happening and we’ll reply to talk through scope.
